Madcap’s T-Set
This functional tea set was another part of a self-directed study in the final year of my undergraduate degree at Vancouver Island University. The title was inspired by Syd Barrett’s album The Madcap Laughs. My work at the time was a kind of retrospective, devoted to my background in ballet. The movement in the curves of the piece are a nod to choreography and flow, the bright and bold colour— a reference to costume design.
